Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival celebrating its 30th anniversary worldwide, gave a preview today of the City of Rock in Las Vegas, which will host Rock in Rio USA over two weekends, May 8-9 and May 15-16. The special preview included performances from Mercedes-Benz Evolution Stage artists Magic!, who will appear as part of the festival's second weekend lineup on May 16, and Cirque du Soleil, a first-look at their May 8 grand opening show on the Main Stage that will deliver a multi-sensory, never-before-experienced montage created specifically for Rock in Rio and featuring more than 30 performers including aerialists, acrobats, characters and live music.
Attendees - Rock in Rio´s partners, suppliers, vendors and special guests - enjoyed the unique experience of Rock in Rio USA's Rock Streets that will deliver the sights, sounds and culture of the U.S., the UK and Brazil to festival attendees. The City of Rock preview included a performance from Pepeu Gomes on the Rock Street Brazil stage, with a Baiana woman, Bumba Meu Boi and a team of Capoeira dancers appearing throughout Rock Street Brazil. Rock Street USA was brought to life with a bboy, a bucket drummer, tap dancers and an electric stage performance from a street dance crew.
