VETERAN PROMOTER JOSE MUNIZ JOINS EVENPRO GROUP AND XYZ LIVE
Miami, Fla. (October 3, 2012) Jose Muniz, ex Senior Vice-President of Time for Fun (T4F) U.S.A. and longtime South American promoter has joined XYZ Live and Evenpro Group.
The decision came as part of the plans for growth for XYZ LIVE – one of the top live
entertainment companies in Brazil – and for the EVENPRO GROUP, one of the top tier concert promotion companies in Latin America.
The link between both companies stems from The Evenpro Group having equity
in XYZ Live in Brazil. Together they cover Latin America excluding Mexico. In 2011 they generated together, over 1,500,000 tickets sold and grossed in excess of $115,000,00

Jose Muniz started his career as a concert promoter in Brasilia, Brazil in 1983 with Metal Productions to focus on tours by up and coming Brazilian artists, and management. He moved to Sao Paulo in 1984, and in 1986 set his sites on promoting international artists. After various tours, including Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, and Deep Purple, Muniz formed MERCURY CONCERTS in 1990.
In 2000 Muniz sold Mercury Concerts to CIE/OCESA and became their director of entertainment. In 2004 he relocated to New York as VP of Ocesa Presents in New York. In 2007 Muniz was appointed Senior VP of T4F and moved its operations to Orlando, Florida where he owns a home. With a staff of four, he helped the company expand its operations outside of Brazil, while still providing the talent pipeline for T4F's Brazil operation.
Over the years Muniz has been responsible for producing tours with preeminent
artists the likes of Pearl Jam, Roger Waters (from Dark side of the Moon, and The Wall), Rush, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Oasis, among others. He was also in charge of popular family and theatrical events such as Disney On Ice, Stomp, Blue Man Group, Batman Live and Broadway musicals which included Cats.
“Phil and I have been friends for more than two decades, and except for the time we worked together on ‘Monsters of Rock,’ we have always been on opposite sides competing for different regional tours. I have always respected and admired Phil's accomplishments as a promoter, and I believe that together we will expand XYZ Live's presence in Brazil and Evenpro's operations in Latin America", said Muniz.
Muniz is already working and has inaugurated the newly formed “alliance” with a bang confirming legendary rock band Kiss to perform several concerts in Brazil.
